Issue Details

I recently installed new packages through NI Package Manager, or upgraded my system to LabVIEW NXG 2.0. When I try to use the System Designer in LabVIEW NXG, it results in LabVIEW NXG crashing. What is causing this behavior, and how can I resolve it?

Solution

This behavior can be caused if duplicate packages are present in NI Package Manager. To resolve this, uninstall any packages with duplicates then reinstall them.

To check for duplicate packages, use the NI Package Manager command line interface (CLI) to generate a list of installed packages. You can then either check the log manually for duplicates, or use one of the VIs outlined under Additional Information.

Additional Information

To check for duplicate packages, code similar to the below image can be used. This code is attached in both LabVIEW and LabVIEW NXG VI formats.
