Error -200741 Occurred at Configure NI MAX TEDS

Issue Details

I am using a sensor with TEDS but when I try to configure it in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) I receive Error -200741 occurred at Configure TEDS. What steps can I take to correct this error?
 

Solution

There are different alternatives which you can check to solve the error:
  1. It is possible that the TEDS template that is being used is unsupported by NI software. There is a large number of TEDS 1.0 templates and a limited number of TEDS 0.9 templates that is supported.
  2. If the template is supported and you get the error, try to limit the problem to the sensor, the module or the used chassis
    1. Use a different sensor or different sensor cable
    2. Try different channels in your module
    3. Try different slots for your module in your chassis
    4. Try a different module
  3. If you can limit the problem to the module or the chassis, and not to used sensor, please contact NI Support.

Additional Information

Navigate to <ProgramFiles>\National Instruments\Shared\TEDS\Templates to determine which templates NI supports. The directory contains IEEE_Legacy.tdl and NI_IEEE_Standard.tdl, which corresponds to templates for version 0.9 and 1.0, respectively.
