DAbort at TDTable.tdr Crash When Running or Opening NI Software

Updated Oct 24, 2023

Reported In

Software

  • LabVIEW Runtime

Issue Details

  • My NI  software is crashing when the software is launched or on startup with the following messages reported in the error log:
DWarn 0x03169903: InitTDRTableLoader: error(7) opening "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\2019\tdtable.tdr"
DAbort 0xEC27B891: InitTDRTableLoader : err(7) "opening tdtable file"

Solution

1. Check and see if the file tdtable.tdr" is located in the following directory:

32 Bit:
C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\<Version Number>\tdtable.tdr

64 Bit:
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\<Version Number>\tdtable.tdr

Notice that <Version Number> refers to the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine version that the crashing NI software is executed in.

2. If the file is not there, you can either:

  • Perform a repair on the version of LabVIEW Run-Time you are using. See Repair Software In NI Package Manager (NIPM) for steps on how to perform this operation.

  • If you have any computers that have the same version of the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine installed ans that computer is working fine, copy the tdtable.tdr from the working computer to the non working computer.

  • If you do not have a working computer to copy the file from, you can contact NI Support and we can provide you with a copy of tdtable.tdr from a working computer. Please reference this article when contacting support.

  • Reinstall the LabVIEW Run-Time version you are using. Note, if you are using LabVIEW development environment, this will uninstall all of LabVIEW and any modules and toolkits also uninstalled. therefore, it is recommended to try steps 2a and 2b first, if using the LabVIEW development environment.

Additional Information

This error occurs due to a corrupt installation of the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine.
