Issue Details

I want to use simulated NI-DAQmx device created in NI-MAX to trigger the connector of a simulated counter device. Like connect a digital output on a simulated DAQmx device to the digital input on a simulated counter device, which could realize counting edges.

Solution

This kind of usage between two simulated DAQmx devices could not get realized.
Although you can configure the input channel on a simulated DAQmx device in LabVIEW, this virtual channel could not get connected to another simulated DAQmx device.
Normally, we use a actual counter device to detect and count edges. On the other hand, if we only want to use virtual channels in LabVIEW to count edges of a signal, we could just generated a simulated signal and count with a certain set of codes. Instead of using two different projects with two simulated device each, this kind of codes make more sense in this situation.
