DAQmx Error -229770: Internal Software Error Occurred

Issue Details

My DAQmx code had been running correctly, but now when I run my LabVIEW code, I get the following error: 

Error -229770: Internal Software Error occurred in MIG software. Please contact National Instruments Support.

This error occurs at different DAQmx VIs, and also happens when I run DAQmx examples.

Solution

Complete the following steps to try and resolve the error: 

• Navigate to Start»Run and type msconfig to open Services. Ensure that NI Configuration Manager and NI Device Loader are running and are configured to start automatically.
  
  
• There could be a conflict between DAQmx and another software package on your computer. The most common instance of this is with antivirus packages and other IT security software. Try disabling such software and see if the error persists.
• Saving the VI, project, or application containing this DAQmx VIs on a secured network drive may cause this error. Try moving the VI, project, or application onto a local drive and see if the error persists.
• This error can be caused by the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) database becoming corrupt. Try resetting the MAX database and see if the error persists.
• Try to repair LabVIEW and DAQmx. If this is still not working, try a force reinstallof LabVIEW and DAQmx.
• If you have an old version of DAQmx base installed, it could be an incompatibility with earlier version of DAQmx. Uninstall DAQmx Base and repair or install lastest version of DAQmx.
