NI 9230 Module Is Reading Incorrect Values

Issue Details

I am using the NI 9230 module with the NI CompactRIO chassis. The CompactRIO chassis is added to the LabVIEW project in the FPGA programming mode. I have created a VI to acquire data from the NI 9230 AIx channel and the module is configured to work with the IEPE sensor. However, When I compile and run the VI my AIx channel(s) reads 0V or incorrect reading. What could be the issue?

Solution

It is because the NI 9230 module is not configured to work in the acquisition mode. You should use the Start and Stop channels of the NI 9230 to put the module in and out of acquisition mode.
  • Start channel node controls when the NI 9230 starts acquiring data. If TRUE is written to the Start channel, the NI 9230 starts acquiring data.
  • Stop channel node controls when the NI 9230 stops acquiring data. If TRUE is written to the Stop channel, the NI 9230 stops acquiring data.
