How can I set the input delay of the NI-6587 to a given value?

Solution

You can set the Chx_Idelay_Increment to true for a given number of clock cycles in order to implement the delay (up to a maximum of 63 taps). Each Tap is equal to 78.125pS when using the default IDelay_Calibration_Clock of 200Mhz. IDelay_Calibration_Clock is not configurable with this CLIP.

For example a delay of 1nS could be approximated by 1nS/.078125nS= 12.8 Taps, Rounding down to 12 taps gives 937.5pS of delay, while rounding up to 13 taps gives 1015.625pS of delay.
