Issue Details

I am having troubles to recognize my USRP through the Ethernet connection. I can successfully recognize it through the MXI or JTAG connection. I found documentation about reseting the IP address on an USRP but I cannot complete the steps suggested since the S2 switch seems to not be available for this device. How can I identify the current IP Address configured in the USRP?

Solution

In order to obtain the current IP configuration for a USRP, follow these steps:
  1. Connect your USRP through the MXI connection
  2. Use the USRP Configuration Utility to ensure that the device is being recognized by the PC
  3. Open the Windows Command Prompt by pressing the WindowsKey and R at the same time in your keyboard, typing in cmd and clicking OK
  1. In the command prompt, enter cd c:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\NI-USRP\utilities\ and press Enter
  2. Type in uhd_usrp_probe and press Enter
  3. Look through the results of the execution for the line that corresponds to ip-addr0 and subnet0, the values  showing next to these correspond to the currently configured IP address and subnet mask for the device.

Additional Information

The reset button s2 available in other USRPs is not available in this module, which makes the How to Perform a Hard Reset on a USRP 29xx? process invalid for it. As a result of this, it is not possible to put this USRP in Safe Mode.
