How Can I Disable Specific Test Sites During a Test?

Issue Details

With the default NI TestStand Batch Process Model - without using NI TestStand Semiconductor Module - you can disable a specific Test Socket via the UUT Information dialog box or the underlying callbacks.

However, when using the TestStand Semiconductor Module, the Operator Interface does not display a checkbox to disable a specific site. I am also unable to find a recommended approach in the documentation.

Solution

The recommended approach to disable specific sites depends on the software version you are using.

In NI TestStand Semiconductor Module 2016 (and earlier) you should
  • Create a simulated handler.

In NI TestStand Semiconductor Module 2016SP1 (and later) you can
  • Use the AvailableSiteNumbers Property from the NI TestStand Semiconductor Module Station Settings.
  • Create a simulated handler.

Additional Information

The AvailableSiteNumbers Property can only be set from the NI TestStand Semiconductor Module Station Settings callback.
