Issue Details

I am occasionally getting the following LabVIEW crash when editing files in my LabVIEW Project:

Exception: Noncontinuable exception (0xC0000025) at EIP=0x00000000 Version: 17.0 (32-bit)
Possible Cause: C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2017\resource\Framework\Providers\API\mxLvSetIconOverlaysBatch.vi

Solution

This crash can occur when you are using the 3rd-party LabVIEW Addon TSVN Toolkit from Viewpoint Systems.

Note: If you do not have the TSVN Toolkit from Viewpoint Systems installed on your machine and you are seeing this crash, refer to Troubleshooting LabVIEW Crashes and Internal Errors instead.

In many cases, this crash can be resolved by disabling the TSVN Icon Overlays Autorefresh option:
  1. Open LabVIEW.
  2. Navigate to the top taskbar and select Tools » Viewpoint TSVN Toolkit » Settings » Icon Overlays
  3. Disable the Icon Overlays Autorefresh option.
