LabVIEW Crash Occurs With Noncontinuable Exception Message 0xC0000025

Updated Jan 9, 2023

Reported In

Software

  • LabVIEW

Other

TSVN Toolkit from Viewpoint Systems Inc.

Issue Details

I am occasionally facing the following LabVIEW crash when editing files in my LabVIEW Project or during runtime:

Exception: Noncontinuable exception (0xC0000025) at EIP=0x00000000 Version: XX.X (XX-bit)

Solution

  • This crash can occur when you are using the 3rd-party LabVIEW Addon TSVN Toolkit  from Viewpoint Systems.
    • In many cases, this crash can be resolved by disabling the TSVN Icon Overlays Autorefresh option:
  1. Open LabVIEW.
  2. Navigate to the top taskbar and select Tools » Viewpoint TSVN Toolkit » Settings » Icon Overlays
  3. Disable the Icon Overlays Autorefresh option.

  • If you are using a .NET DLL and you are facing the above-mentioned error message, the issue can occur due to the used DLL. Please contact the provider of the DLL and check, if there can be issues in combination with LabVIEW and internal management like closing handles or global lock for the USB3 link by the FPGAManagerAPI.
