How a Named User Accesses Software on Multiple Computers VLA

Issue Details

I am on a volume license server, and am trying to access my software. Our license is a Named User, so I should have access on up to three computers. I am able to have access to the software on the first computer with no problem, but cannot access it on the second.

Solution

You will need to check two things to make sure you are able to have your software properly activated:
  1. You will want to make sure that the client machine is connected to the volume license server.
  2. Make sure that you are not accessing the software on another computer. You can check this in the Volume License Manager, or NI License Manager. If you are using the software on another computer, you will need to exit out of that software before using it on another computer.

Additional Information

You may also want to check with your software admin to make sure all your setting are correct on the server side.
