Issue Details

There a couple different circumstances that this has come up:
  • When using my laptop with 3 monitors I have no problems. When I Right click with two monitors now the pallet appears away from my mouse.
  • I am using different monitors of different resolution.

The solution most likely has to do with the DPI settings. Following these steps can help fix it:
  1. Close out of LabVIEW.
  2. Navigate to <LabVIEW Application Directory>.
    1. The path will probably look something like, "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2017".
  3. Right click on LabVIEW.exe and select properties.
  4. Go to the "Compatibility" tab.
  5. Check "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings."
    1. Depending on OS it might say, "Override high DPI scaling behavior."
  6. Start back up LabVIEW.

Additional Information

Another thing you can try if the above doesn't work, is pressing ctrl + Right click. This will pin another palette to your monitor.

If on a laptop, and using monitors you can try switching through the display setting (like extend, duplicate) by pressing Windows key + p. Switching to a different display setting, and then switching back can often fix the problem.
