The download process for LabVIEW on a macOS computer depends on the version of LabVIEW you have access to; the different possible versions and their associated processes are outlined below.

Note: LabVIEW 2023 Q3 is the final release of LabVIEW for macOS. Starting with releases in 2024, LabVIEW is available on Windows and Linux OSes.

LabVIEW 2017 through LabVIEW 2023

In 2017, NI moved macOS software distribution to online downloads. If you are looking to install recent versions of LabVIEW for macOS, follow the standard instructions for downloading NI software. 
  • You must be signed into your NI user account, and that account must be associated with an active subscription license or an active service agreement to download any LabVIEW downloads for macOS. 
 

LabVIEW 2016 and Previous Version

For all previous versions of LabVIEW for macOS, you must obtain a physical copy of the software to install it. LabVIEW for macOS is shipped by NI and is tied to your serial number.

 

Academic LabVIEW Software

For all academic versions of LabVIEW for macOS, you must obtain a physical copy of the software to install it. Contact your site administrator who can request access to physical media if needed.
