Issue Details

  • I cannot find the download link for LabVIEW on macOS. Where is it?
  • I lost my USB media that had LabVIEW for macOS. How else can I download it?
  • My LabVIEW for macOS says it is expiring, but I have a valid serial number.
  • I am interested in evaluating LabVIEW for macOS. Where can I download a free trial?

Solution

  • For LabVIEW 2017 and later:
  1. Log in to your ni.com account.
  2. Register your valid serial number for LabVIEW that is linked to your SSP.
  3. Navigate to the download link and download the software.
  • For all previous versions:
For all previous versions of LabVIEW for macOS, you must obtain a copy of the software to install it. LabVIEW for macOS is shipped by National Instruments and is tied to your serial number.
  • Evaluation version:
If you do not currently have a purchased copy of LabVIEW for macOS, you may download an evaluation version of LabVIEW for macOS from National Instruments.

Additional Information

When you decide to move from the evaluation version to the licensed version, installing the licensed version will upgrade the existing evaluation version. The reason you cannot activate the evaluation version with a serial number is that there is no License Manager for macOS or Linux. Running the installer from purchased media will install the complete version of LabVIEW on the computer, and you will not have to explicitly activate any components.
