Issue Details

I can not reach the analog output selected value with my device.

Solution

If your device is outputting an unexpected value, there are a few ways to verify the signal, and isolate the problem.
  1. Go into NI Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) and open a test panel for the specific module to view the output on the affected channel. If the signal displays correctly in a MAX Test Panel, check that the signal still is incorrect in your test setup.
  2. Another thing that you can do is to check the signal with a multimeter to measure the output from the affected signal. Connect the positive terminal to the analog output, and the negative terminal to the negative output if it is a differential signal, or to the ground connection if it is single ended.
  3. Be sure that you are not requesting to much current from the device. You must check the device datasheet to know which is the Maximum Current that the device can provide.
  4. Finally, if your signal is still output incorrectly, contact NI support to continue troubleshooting.
