Is it better to use the SHC68-C68-RDIO2 or the SHC68-68-RDIO for my R Series Device?

Solution

The SHC68-68-RDIO is the recommended cable for connecting to the following devices:
  • cRIO-9151 R Series Expansion Chassis
  • PXI/PCI 783xR
  • PXI/PCI 781xR
  • NI 7841R / 7842R（PCIe-7841R / 7842R、PXI-7841R / 7842R）
  • NI 7851R / 7852R（PCIe-7851R / 7852R、PXI-7851R / 7852R）
  • NI 7853R / 7854R（PXI-7853R / 7854R）

The SHC68-68-RDIO is not recommended for the USB R Series, PXIe-782xR, PXIe-784xR, or PXIe-785xR since the two devices are not interchangeable.

The SHC68-C68-RDIO2 is the recommended cable for connecting to the DIO ports of the following devices:
  • USB R Series
  • PXIe / PCIe-782xR
  • PXIe-784xR（not include PXI-784x）
  • PXIe-785xR（not include PXI-785x）
  • PXIe-786x / 786xR
  • PCIe-7846
  • PCIe-7856 / 7857 / 7858

Additional Information

The SHC68-68-RDIO can be use with Virtex-II / Virtex-5 FPGA R-Series devices. 
The SHC68-C68-RDIO2 can be use with Kintex-7 FPGA R-Series devices.
