Issue Details

I want to use the NI-Industrial Communications for Ethernet/IP driver to communicate with a PLC from LabVIEW. However, my IT department needs to know which TCP and UDP ports that driver uses so that the corporate firewall can be configured to allow the communication. 

Solution

The TCP and UDP ports used by the NI-Industrial Communications for Ethernet/IP driver are defined by the Ethernet/IP Protocol:
  • Explicit Messaging uses TCP port 44818.
  • Implicit Messaging uses UDP port 2222.
