Issue Details

I noticed that the Replication and Deployment (RAD) Utility 16.0 is built with LabVIEW 2016. Is it still supported with newer versions of LabVIEW?

Solution

Yes, it is. You have a few options to use it with newer versions.
  • Use the installer on the download page to install RAD and the LabVIEW 2016 Run-Time Engine. This will allow you to run the executable regardless of what other versions of LabVIEW you have on your system.
  • Download the RAD source code. Following the guidelines in How to Upgrade or Revert a VI to a Different Version of LabVIEW, open and run RAD in a newer version of LabVIEW. For LabVIEW 2017 and up, you should be able to open it without any additional steps.

Additional Information

If you do not have access to the RAD Utility and need to get or set an image on your Real-Time system, you can use the shipping example, Get or Set Real-Time System Image.vi. This can be found in LabVIEW at Help»Find Examples»Hardware Input and Output»System Configuration.
