Issue Details

The Replication and Deployment (RAD) Utility 16.0 is built with LabVIEW 2016. Is it still supported with later versions of LabVIEW?

Solution

Yes, it is. You have a few options to use it with newer versions.
  • Use the installer on the download page to install RAD and the LabVIEW 2016 Run-Time Engine. This will enable you to run the executable regardless of other versions of LabVIEW you have on your system.
  • The RAD source code can be downloaded from the NI GitHub repository.
  • If needed, you can follow the guidelines in Upgrade VI to a Newer LabVIEW Version, open and run RAD in a newer version of LabVIEW. For LabVIEW 2017 and later you should be able to open it without any additional steps.

If you do not have access to the RAD Utility and need to get or set an image on your Real-Time system, you can use the shipping example, Get or Set Real-Time System Image.vi. This can be found in LabVIEW at Help»Find Examples»Hardware Input and Output»System Configuration.
