Issue Details

I have cRIO 9012 and I installed all the software, features and add-ons on it. But, it is not behaving normally in MAX, it appears as disconnected although the status is shown "running". I am not able as well to connect to it in LabVIEW and it is not detecting any C Series Modules. How can I resolve this?

Solution

The cRIO-9012 is a rugged performance controller with 64 MB DRAM and 128 MB Storage. With the limited RAM and storage on this controller, all of the features will not be able to be used. National Instruments recommends one of the following two options:
  1. Use a CompactRIO with higher RAM and Storage specs
  2. Remove all unnecessary addons from the cRIO-9012 in MAX. This will allow the extra room to be able to connect to it, configure it and program it.
