Massive MIMO Framework RHH Power Level of Antenna

Issue Details

I am using the Massive Mimo Application Framework with LabVIEW Communications. In the Base Station (BS), is the power control in the RHH tab the power level of 1 antenna or all the antennas?



In the Mobile Station VI, it is the total BS power? 



In the mobile station, should the RX Gain (A) match the coerced RX gain level on the far left on the BS front panel (H)? In the mobile station, should the TX Power (B)  match (E) in the base station or is this the total power (E*D). Should (C) be matched with (D)?

Does the Base Station Configuration in the mobile station (which includes A, B and C) have any effect when setting 'TPC' to auto? 

Solution

The values of the Base Station Configuration must match the settings on the Mobile Station. Also, the framework is set up so that you don't have to do the maths of multiplying by the number of antennas. Therefore A must match H, B must match G, and D must match C.

If the TCP code is set to auto, then it will try to find the required power for this signal but it would not be directly affected by the values in the Base Station Configuration.
