PXIe-8102 Freezes Up During Usage with LabVIEW

Issue Details

My PXIe 8102 controller continues to freeze up during usage with LabVIEW showing the error (Not Responding). I need to frequently reboot the system to recover it. How can I resolve this?


There are a couple potential fixes to this issue, which could stem from either a bad LabVIEW install or errors during the execution of your code: 

To resolve a bad install, force reinstall LabVIEW using the instructions in Fix Corrupt or Non-Working NI Software with Force Reinstall.

LabVIEW can sometimes hang as a result of resource usage - utilizing either 100% CPU or RAM.  Use PerfMon to Track Process Performance and see if the LabVIEW process is reserving an undue amount of resources.  If possible, run the Desktop Execution Trace Toolkit to get a better understanding of which VIs are reserving which processor resources.  If RAM usage is the issue, consider upgrading your controller's RAM using the compatibility document linked below.
