Issue Details

I am using the NI_DSC.lvlib:Read Traces.vi from the Datalogging and Supervisory Control  (DSC) Module.
When reading the data in real time or using the NI Distributed System Manager, I can see a quality parameter of HIGH/LOW.  When reading the quality parameter from the citadel database I do not get any other information than 0 (=good). How could I get the quality  of HIGH/LOW out from the NI Citadel database?

Solution

The same list of codes is used for accessing the quality of a shared variable and for the quality of traces from the Citadel.

However, the high- and low-limited quality only describes the shared variable. Once the data is recorded in the database, there is no more information on it being high- or low-limited as this is a property of the shared variable. Therefore, the code for this trace read from the Citadel would be 0, corresponding to "good".

Additional Information

The quality parameter indicates the data quality of the information read. A value of zero indicates good quality. The following table lists some of the possible quality values.
