Can The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software environment control my compactRIO (cRIO) over USB as a data acquisition/data output system?

Solution

There is no supported way to control a cRIO from The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software environment, however there are ways to communicate data from your cRIO to The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software environment using TCP, UDP, or Serial.

The Internet Control Toolbox will allow The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software environment to receive data that is being transmitted from the cRIO over TCP, UDP, or Serial. This would still require a Real Time application built using LabVIEW or C/C++ to run on the cRIO and publish data via TCP, UDP, or Serial.
