Issue Details

  • I'm trying to import a .dmd file in LabVIEW using the DEWETRON_DMD DataPlugin but I am getting the following error:

Error -2558 occurred at Open Data Storage

Possible reason(s): LabVIEW: LabVIEW cannot open the data storage file. Ensure that you chose a correct DataPlugin for this file format.

  • I am trying to load a .dmd file in DIAdem, after installing the DEWETRON_DMD DataPlugin but I am getting the following error:
Loading of the file "xxx.dmd" has failed for all the loading methods (DataPlugin) linked to this file type. No DataPlugin assigned for this file type.

The "DEWETRON_DMD" loader cannot process the file "xxx.dmd".

The DMD data file format is developed by a 3rd party company called DEWETRON. The DataPlugin for LabVIEW and DIAdem integrates a library developed by DEWETRON.
The solution for this error depends on the version of the DEWETRON software used to save the .dmd files:
  • If the .dmd files were saved in R1.x software version, the DataPlugin is not compatible with this format, since DEWETRON decided to optimize the DMD format as of version R2.x and therefore there is no backward compatibility between versions 1 and 2. There is also no DMDReader library available, and thus the only way to use these old data files in external software is to use the CSV export function that was available as of version 1.2.
  • If the .dmd files were saved in R2.x or later software version, note that a new version of the DataPlugin was released as of July 2018, to integrate the updated DEWETRON library version R3.0
