The M3x14 screws that came with my 9901 Desktop Mounting Kit seem to be too short to properly fasten the mount to my equipment and the M3x20 screws seem to be too long and bottom out when tightening them. I don't want to damage my device by over-tightening the screws. Do I need to buy additional screws?
Check the manual for your specific device and search for the instructions on mounting the 9901; it should explicitly state which screws should be used for your device. If the manual explicitly states to use the M3x20 screws, such as with the cDAQ 9185 or 9189, you can tighten the screws down without damaging the device even if it feels like they are too long and bottoming out.
