Xilinx Node-Locked IP License for Application Frameworks Installation Process

Updated Mar 15, 2018

Issue Details

I received a Xilinx Node-Locked IP license from NI to enable an Application Framework in LabVIEW Communications System Design Suite. How do I install the Xilinx Node-Locked IP license, so I can use the Application Framework that I purchased?

Solution

In addition to installing and activating the Application Framework software you purchased, you must install a Xilinx Node-Locked IP license before you can use an Application Framework in LabVIEW Communications System Design Suite.

To obtain a Xilinx Node-Locked IP license for your Application Framework, complete and sign the Sublicense Agreement for Limited License IP Cores, and email the signed document, along with the serial number of the software you purchased, to fpga.licensing@ni.com. NI will process your request and return a Xilinx Node-Locked IP license file via email. If you prefer not to receive the license file via email, you can request to have the file transferred via a private FTP server.

Once you have received a Xilinx Node-Locked IP license from NI, save the license file to C:\NIFPGA\programs\Vivado2013_4\data\ip\core_licenses to complete installation.

The path to your core_licenses folder may be different if you installed LabVIEW Communications System Design Suite to a custom location.

Additional Information

You can rename the .lic files to avoid naming conflicts. However, do not modify the contents of any license files at this location. Modifying the contents of a license file at this location can corrupt or limit the functionality of LabVIEW Communications System Design Suite.
