Issue Details

I have a VB.NET application made with NI Measurement Studio that works on my development machine.  It uses DataSocket to connect to OPC tags on an OPC Server.  I want to deploy this application to computers that do not have any  NI Software on them.  When I run the application on my deployment computers, my application gives me an error saying that there is a missing DLL.

Solution

Install the NI Measurement Studio DataSocket .NET Language Runtime on your deployment computers.  In order to use DataSocket with your Measurement Studio .NET application, you must have the NationalInstruments.Net assembly, which is included in the NI Measurement Studio DataSocket .NET Language Runtime.
