Error -50251 in NI Device Drivers or NI MAX

Issue Details

I receive Error -50251: The specified software component is not available. The component was not loaded, when:
  • I simulate a device in NI MAX.
  • I reset, self-test, self-calibrate or open a test panel on my DAQ device.
  • I run my Device Driver VI, such as NI-DAQmx.
 
 
How can I resolve this issue?

Solution

Follow the steps below to resolve this error. 
  • If this is your first time setting up this system, Error -50251 can indicate a corruption of the NI Device Driver installation. Reboot your computer and, then force reinstalling the driver.
  • Deactivate your anti-virus software and then try to install the driver. Sometimes, anti-virus software can block the successful installation of a driver.
  • Upgrade your driver software to the latest version. 
  • Uninstall  all the NI Software and install, if possible, a more recent version of it. If you don't have access to a newer version of the software or have compatibility issues, just reinstall it. 
  • Re-image may be needed to reinstall the drivers.
