Activating License on VLM Troubleshooting

Issue Details

I have set up a license and configured my server settings according to the Getting Started with NI VLM: Configuring Server Settings on my client device. I still get a deactivated license error and a dialog box asking me how to activate my software. Why is my license not activating?
 

Solution

To confirm that the server settings and the license have been properly authorized, please close out the Volume License Manager and reopen the software. If the software is still showing as unlicensed, then please restart the computer in case the settings have not been implemented. If you are still having issues, please reach out to National Instruments at ni.com/support.
