Issue Details

  1. I see that there are two different SoftMotion Axis methods: Read Data - Torque and Read Torque - Torque Feedback. Which one should I use with my EtherCAT AKD Drive, and what is the scale of the values?
  2. I am using the LabVIEW SoftMotion Express VI "Read" to read the torque of a motor at any given time. I'm curious as to what the units of these torque values are.


For EtherCAT AKD Drives, you should use the Read Torque - Torque Feedback method. The returned value will be in units of 1/1000 of the rated torque. The following image shows the Read Torque method.
