LabVIEW Multisim Co-Simulation Compatibility

Issue Details

I would like to use the Co-Simulation feature that LabVIEW and Multisim have, but I am not sure if I have compatible software. How can I get this information?
I am installing Multisim but the option to install the co-simulation plugin is not available, why is this?

Solution

The LabVIEW Multisim Co-Simulation plugin is no longer maintained by NI. The last compatible LabVIEW version, that supports this function is the LabVIEW 2016 32Bit version.

To determine which LabVIEW version is compatible with your current Multisim version, you need to reference the Multisim Context Help. For further detail, refer to Multisim>>Help>>Multisim help>>Contents tab>>Simulation >>LabVIEW Multisim Co-Simulation.
 

 

Additional Information

If you did not install the NI LabVIEW Multisim Co-simulation Plug-in during the Multisim installation process, you must reinstall Multisim and select this option. 

You also need the NI LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module. Note: The LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module was deprecated in 2023, meaning that the latest version available for download is 2022 Q3. See details here: Control Design and Simulation VIs for LabVIEW 2023 and Newer)
