Issue Details

I upgraded from LabVIEW 2014 to LabVIEW 2016 and my Xilinx FIR filters are no longer compiling properly. I am getting an error saying:

Error 7 occurred at Open/Create/Replace File...

Possible reason(s):

LabVIEW:  File not found. The file might be in a different location or deleted. Use the command prompt or the file explorer to verify that the path is correct.

=========================

NI-488:  Nonexistent GPIB interface.

Solution

This error typically occurs due to a problem or error during installation. Typically, re-installing your software or installing all updates for your NI software can fix this issue.

Additional Information

There are several other reasons why this error might be occurring. You can narrow down where the error might be coming from by trying the troubleshooting steps below:

1.) Try compiling your code on a different computer (to see if the error is localized to your machine or not)
2.) Try compiling your code for a different FPGA target (to see if the error is related to a specific piece of hardware or the driver)
3.) Disable Antivirus (this is also a common cause of build fails)
