Issue Details

I have a compactRIO with various modules in it that I want to use in a Class I Division 2 environment. Does the cRIO and it's modules meet one of the following nonincendive standards?
  • ANSI/ISA-12.12.01-2015 CAN/CSA C22.2 NO. 213-15
  • UL 121201

Solution

No, neither the cRIO or it's modules are rated as nonincendive. Our cRIO modules are Class I Div.2 certified per UL 60079-0 and -15. They are approved for Class I, Zone 2 and per the standard and the NEC are approved/suitable for installation in Class I, Div.2 and marked as such.
