VLM License File Invalid - Select a Valid Agreement License File

Issue Details

I am a software admin for a Volume License Agreement and am trying to start or renew my license server. When I select my license file that I got from NI, I get the error message:
​Invalid File - Select a valid agreement license file.

​How do I resolve this error?


Your license file may have invalid metadata or was not signed correctly. Verify that the computer ID matches that of the server machine. Otherwise, email agreements@ni.com and request a new license file.

Additional Information

This is a known issue with some of the license files sent out with the LabVIEW 2017 SP1 upgrade. The issue has since been resolved so regenerating the license file resolves the error.
