Solution
There are many aspects that could affect the CAN bus not showing up. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to help identify why this behavior is occurring.
- Check that you have the latest firmware for the device.
- Access the Web Interface by inputting the address 172.22.11.2 in your browser's address bar
- Login by using "admin" as the Username and leave the Password field blank.
- Click Update Firmware and browse to the latest version of the firmware: Program Files x86\National Instruments\Firmware\cRIO\76F2\
- Check for the ports showing up in NI MAX or the Web Interface.
- Test device on another computer with the FRC software.
- If the device shows up on another machine, try reinstalling the FRC software suite on the original machine.
- Test a working roboRIO on the development machine.
- If another device has all ports showing on the machine, that would indicate the problem lies within the device.
- Check for lose physical connections and/or damaged ports.
- Try reformatting the device
