Issue Details

I upgraded from LabVIEW 2017 to LabVIEW 2017 SP1 and noticed that VI Package Manager (VIPM) is missing or uninstalled. I navigated to the Program Files(x86)\JKI\VI Package Manager folder on my computer and the folder did not contain the expected files. VIPM is also missing from the Add/Remove Programs options.

Solution

To resolve the issue, you can run the LabVIEW 2017 SP1 installer a second time. It will show VI Package Manager as already installed (and will not indicate any changes to VI Package Manager) but it will state it is upgrading upgrade system components. This will restore VI Package Manager to your system, despite the lack of messaging to that effect.

Additional Information

No private settings are removed as part of the uninstall process, and after reinstallation, VI Package Manager will return to its previous state.
