Issue Details

I just connected my HDD 8266 RAID array. After my system boots up, it makes a loud, high-pitch noise and is not being discovered in MAX.

Solution

It is likely that one of your hard drives has been corrupted upon boot-up. Run a power cycle on the system, ensure you are connecting and configuring your system appropriately, and boot the system up again. If the issue persists, run through standard RMA troubleshooting to see if the RAID device or PXI module needs to be RMA'd.

Additional Information

If you do not need the full throughput available for your RAID device, consider enabling redundancies to avoid data loss.
