I was under the impression that a wire segment is highlighted when the majority of it is selected. However, in the figure below, one is still highlighted when a very small part of it is selected at the crossing of another wire, requiring a separate action to deselect it.Why does this happen?
This behavior is expected. A wire segment is highlighted as long as the exact midpoint along that particular wire segment's length is selected by the user. This explanation is consistent with the example above, where narrowly selecting the horizontal wire, True constant, and node caused the vertical wire to also be highlighted since its midpoint happened to be selected.
