Download Older Versions of NI Software

  • How do I download previous versions of software from NI?
  • I am looking to download NI software that is no longer available on ni.com. How do I get access to legacy software?
  • I lost my NI's media (CD, DVD, USB). How can I download the software I already purchased in the past?
  • When trying to download an old version of NI Software, the Download button is greyed out and I get the following message:
Previous versions are available only to customers with an active standard service program (SSP) membership. Purchase or renew SSP to access locked versions.
 

Solution

Requirements

To download and access older versions of NI software, you need to meet the following requirements:

  1. Have a valid NI SSP (Standard Service Program) license. This could be included with your Volume License Agreement. Reach out to your Software Admin to get added to the account. 
The ability to download older versions of software depends on maintaining active SSP on the serial number for your software products; a serial number for the software product version alone is insufficient. NI provides you with a copy of the software at the time of purchase. If you maintain SSP, NI will provide the additional service of keeping a library of software available online. If you choose not to maintain active SSP, you must manage your installation media yourself. Therefore, simply registering a serial number will not guarantee you access to old NI software, even if it will activate the older software. 

 

Download your software

Note: If you have active SSP, and need a version of NI software older than what is available on the NI website, please contact NI support. Alternatively, if you have the installer for this software on another computer, you can transfer the installer folder to the target computer and run the installer. You will still need a valid Serial Number to activate your software.
  1. Sign into your ni.com account associated with your serial number that has active SSP. See Requirements above for more information.
  2. Go to the download page of the software you're looking for.
  3. Set the appropriate software version, bitness, and OS setting (if applicable). You should now see the option to download:
