Error 0xBFFF8004 in NI MAX and VBAI Timeout Error

Issue Details

  • When trying to run my Vision Builder for Automated Inspection, I get a Timeout Error like the one in the image below:

  • When I test Smart Camera connected to NI myRIO-1900 I get error 0xBFFF8004 in NI MAX.

Solution

To solve this issue, you need to take troubleshooting steps below:
  1. Power cycle your Smart Camera and restart NI-MAX.
  2. Reinstall the software on the Smart Camera.
  3. Reinstall the software on the NI myRIO-1900.
If above steps don't resolve the problem, it is most likely due to limited data rate of the USB cable or third-party adapter which connects NI myRIO to the PC. Make sure that USB cable or third-party adapter you are using have enough capability to transfer video data.
