Issue Details

I would like to test my motion card using Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), and want to directly control the analog output. How can I control the analog output directly from MAX?

Solution

The analog outputs on an NI motion controller cannot directly be controlled from Measurement & Automation Explorer.  You can indirectly control the Digital-to-Analog Converter from Measurement & Automation Explorer by performing a 1D interactive move when your axis is configured for a servo-motor. However, this will not give you direct control over the voltage.

Additional Information

The recommended way to use the analog outputs on an NI motion controller is to use the Load DAC.flx motion function in LabVIEW located in Vision and Motion»NI 73xx»Analog & Digital IO.
