Issue Details

LabVIEW does not ask for an activation code or serial number after I install on Linux or Mac machines. Will I have full functionality?

Solution

LabVIEW does not need the user to activate software after install on Unix based systems. Although the user doesn’t have NI License Manager on Linux or macOS machines, there is still a unique serial number that is associated with LabVIEW. This serial number is required prior to downloading software and therefore not needed after installation. The user will have full access to use all software features that have been installed.

Additional Information

Note that LabVIEW Development System versions (e.g. LabVIEW Full and LabVIEW Professional) will have unique serial numbers.
