LabVIEW Activation on Linux and macOS

Operating System

Issue Details

LabVIEW does not ask for an activation code or serial number after I install on Linux or Mac machines. Will I have full functionality?

Solution

LabVIEW does not need the user to activate on Unix based systems. The user will have full access to use all software features that have been installed. Although the user doesn’t have NI License Manager on Linux or Mac machines, there is still a unique serial number that is associated with LabVIEW.

Additional Information

Note that LabVIEW versions (e.g. LabVIEW Full and LabVIEW Professional) will have unique serial numbers.
