Issue Details

I am using the latest LabVIEW Version along with the required drivers. My myRIO is detected on NI Max, however, I am not able to add it to a project. How do I resolve this issue?

Solution

The reason for not being able to add a myRIO to a project could be because:
  • Firmware version is outdated
It is highly recommended that all NI products firmware be updated to the latest version at all  times.   Please refer Upgrading Firmware on my NI Linux Real-Time Device.
  • Software is not installed on the myRIO device
An RT system must have the required software installed on the device as well as the host. You will find the list of required software for myRIO in the related links section. You should be able to connect your myRIO after following the above steps. If you still face difficulties, kindly contact NI.
  • Your firewall is blocking communication with the device
Ensure that the ports for Hardware Identification are open, as specified in this article.
