Issue Details

I am compiling FPGA code on the Compile Cloud server.  The compilation proceeds without errors until the last step, "Transferring Files from Compile Server", at which point the dialog box tracking compilation progress freezes and cannot be recovered.  What can I do to troubleshoot this?

Solution

There are a few potential sources of failure:  network connection, incompatible project items, and software corruption.  Isolate which of these components is responsible by doing the following:
  1. Verify compiler compatibility with your software and hardware.  See the related links for specific compatibility information.
  2. Ensure TCP Ports 3580 and 3582 are open and allowed through your firewall.  Disable antivirus and firewalls completely if possible.
  3. Try compiling a blank VI. If this fails, check your network connection or reinstall NI software.
  4. Attempt compilation from another computer with the same software stack.  If this works, there may be corruption in the software on the first computer.  Reinstall the appropriate drivers and potentially reinstall LabVIEW.
