Issue Details

I am trying to open a VI in LabVIEW, but I cannot open it because of a missing item. I get a Load and Save Warning List Dialog Box with one of the following warnings:

  • Missing NI Module, Toolkit, or Driver

  • Missing LabVIEW Tools Network Add-on

Solution

This will be shown when LabVIEW cannot find a driver, toolkit or add-on being used in the VI that was opened. The dialog box will mention which software or driver is missing under the Missing Components section. To solve this problem, you will need to that is missing and activate it if required.

Make sure the bitness of the driver, toolkit or add-on you are installing matches the bitness of the LabVIEW version you will be using to open the VIs. A mismatch in bitness can cause LabVIEW to not be able to find the driver, toolkit or add-on.

Additional Information

If you believe you already have the driver installed but are still getting this error, you may be using the run-time version of the driver when you need the full version.
