Error -2147220623 When Using VeriStand Hardware Discovery Wizard

Issue Details

When I am using the localhost as the target in VeriStand and I try to discover hardware automatically using the Hardware Discovery Wizard, VeriStand crashes with Error -2147220623 The property does not exist for this resource:




Error -2147220623 occurred at Property Node (arg 1) in Plugin Launcher.lvlib:Plugin Launcher.vi

Possible reason(s):
NI System Configuration: (Hex 0x80040371) The property does not exist for this resource.

Solution

Ensure that you are selecting the controller in the System Definition before launching the Hardware Discovery Wizard.

Additional Information

The controller needs to be fully configured and selected before you can run the wizard. If it isn't, then there is no reference passed to the wizard, which is why the error message reports that there is no property for the resource.
