I am planning on using DAQExpress or Flexlogger on a computer that won't have an internet connection. Can I install the  Help Files locally?

Solution

Yes, you can download the help files so you can browse them locally when the PC is not connected to the web. To open the Help Files you will need to:
  1. Install the NI Help Viewer
  2. Go to DAQExpress and click on Help >> Online Manual, or open the DAQExpress 1.0 Manual website directly
  3. Click the Download Manual option
  4. Save the .nihelp file in the location of your choice
To view the files, just double click the file downloaded in step 4. This will open the NI Help Viewer and show you the contents of the help files. You will be able to navigate through the file with a similar experience as you would with the Online Manual, but you will not be able to remove the error message from that results from trying to browse the Online Manual from an offline computer.
