Problems Contacting Server When Trying To Activate LabVIEW For FRC

Issue Details

I am on a team for the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and I tried to activate my copy of LabVIEW for FRC through the licensing wizard. When I did so, it gave me an error saying that it was having trouble contacting the server. It suggested going to ni.com/activate, but I'm not sure what to enter on that page.

Solution

Make sure that your computer is connected to the internet. 

If it is, then your school's network is blocking the connection to the NI Licensing server. If possible, try moving the computer to a location where you can connect to an open Wi-Fi such as a home, office, or public Wi-Fi space. You can also try to tether the computer to your mobile device instead.

Additional Information

While ni.com/activate can be used to generate activation codes for our standard products, there is no entry for the FRC Software Suite. Because of this, you can not use ni.com/activate to generate activation codes for your FRC software
